I create two tasks and then start the scheduler. When I do a task trace the results were very puzzling at first. I've confirmed the ordering by using vTaskList.
RE: idle task not number 0 in vTaskStartTracePosted by Richard on May 26, 2011 The idle task is the last task to be created (unless timers are also being used). I would therefore not expect it to every have a task number of 0.
Originally, in very old versions of FreeRTOS, the idle task was the first to be created. Then, it would be number 0. I suspect the web page you are referring to was correct at that time, but is no longer correct. I would be grateful if you could post the URL of the offending page so I can ensure it gets updated. Thanks.
