IAR Cortex-M FreeRTOS debug plugin problem

Posted by Peter McConaghy on August 7, 2013
hi

I'm using IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM Rev 6.50.

The FreeRTOS plugin doesn't show the queue's properly - it just says to use the "vQueueAddToRegistry() API". I've done that and it still doesn't work.

Have I done something wrong? Is there a newer version of the plugin? I thought I saw something on the OpenRTOS site in a Google search a little while ago about a newer version but can't find it anymore.

A new version was required by some changes that were made a couple of versions ago. This is available from the WITTENSTEIN website, as they maintain the plug-in now.

Thanks. Any chance of getting IAR to update the one they ship?
Or of putting a note somewhere saying that people need to update? The link I found earlier was to a Wittenstein forum post which I got from Google's cache and it isn't available to the public any more.

regards
PEter
