RE: Filesystems for FreeRTOS?Posted by Yuantu Huang on October 12, 2011 You may have a look at FatFs by visiting http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/00index_e.html. We use it in several projects based on PIC32 and AT91SAM7 architectures.
RE: Filesystems for FreeRTOS?Posted by Richard Damon on October 12, 2011 Technically, the FreeRTOS kernel doesn't have direct support for any filesystem, as the kernel doesn't do I/O. There probably are some that have interfaces designed for FreeRTOS. This is part of the difference between a kernel (which is what FreeRTOS really is) and a full Operating System. I suspect that most file systems with open source drivers, especially those designed to be used in threaded programs, wouldn't be too hard to interface to FreeRTOS. Even if they are designed for threaded environments, it may be possible to add an interface layer to them to work with FreeRTOS (so they are only used by 1 task at a time).
RE: Filesystems for FreeRTOS?Posted by Richard on October 12, 2011 I would second the ChanN FatFS as per the previous link. It is widely used and I use it myself.
Regards.
