I work in a company using MSP430 for a lot of different application. Now I discussing with my boss to start using FreeRTOS to add real time capability to our products. Basically my boss has a hard (VERY) time seeing the benefits, and I was jut wondering if any of you lot could help me with some good reasons for using a RTOS such as FreeRTOS. Any suggestions valid!

RE: RTOS...some arguments!Posted by Nobody/Anonymous on February 1, 2005 You can only really argue for or against an rtos for a particular application - rather than a particular chip. Sometimes they fit the bill, sometimes they are not needed. If you can wade through it there is a very long thread here:
